Equine Arthroscopy

An arthroscope is a small rigid camera that can be inserted into joints, tendon sheaths and other synovial structures. An arthroscope allows the inspection of joints etc to diagnose any problems and also to treat certain problems eg removal of OCD chips, fracture fragments .It is also the best method to visualise and treat infected joints and tendon sheaths. Arthroscopy is usually performed under general anaesthesia.
