Emily Barrington
Veterinary Care Assistant
I joined the team in December 2022. I started my journey in veterinary, in 2013, where I studied Level 2 Nursing, at Rodbaston College. Becoming a Veterinary Care Assistant (VCA) in 2014.
I have worked at several practices in my career, including some veterinary referral hospitals. I hope to become a Registered Veterinary Nurse one day and I have keen interests in Anaesthesia and Emergency Critical Care.
Outside of work I like to keep myself busy with Horse Riding and I am a qualified judge for Trampolining which can involve judging at events all over the UK. I also volunteer for my local Greyhound Trust charity and can be found on Discover Dogs, at Crufts, each year.
I have always had animals growing up, including dogs, rats, stick insects and giant African land snails, to name a few. So, a career with animals was the only thing I ever wanted to do. I really enjoy my job and love making relationships with the pets that visit us, to ensure that they have the best possible experience.
